Howdy Rob .
I will be honesty and say that that is about all a doctor can do .
Anxiety is a very complex and doctors are simply not trained for it .
The information is out there for you if you wish to research it yourself .
There is alot more that you can do than your doctor will every offer you .
cheers kev
“You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, 'I have lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.' You must do the thing you think you cannot do.”
― Eleanor Roosevelt, You Learn by Living
If you've not gotten enough relief via a GP and counselor you should see a pdoc(psychiatrist). Really your doc should have referred you if what he's tried has failed. All he's done is follow basic protocols written by pdocs. Often this does the trick. For others they need meds fine tweaked for the individual case. A GP will have varied experience and even interest in this(anxiety) so what they will try and do will vary.
Has he tried at least 2 different AD's a differnt doses? PM me any time. Alankay.
