    Temazapam withdrawal help please

About two months ago I went to the ER for a horrible anxiety attack. I wound up being in afib from a weekend of heavy drinking and my anxiety just ramped it up So much worse. When I was released the doctor prescribed me lorazepam and temazepam. At first I was taking the lorazepam daily but I cut back. I didn't take the temazepam till about a month ago when I figured what the hell what could it hurt. I started taking it everynight 30mg of it. Well needless to say I ran out about four or five days ago and have been having some of the worst panic attacks and anxiety I have had in years. I also just started yesterday taking citalopram 20mg for anxiety. I just don't know what to do I feel like I am loosing control again. I assume the bad anxiety and panic attacks are from the withdrawal of the temazepam. I only took it for a little over three weeks. This is horrible. How long will it last!?!?

A couple weeks but I would drop the celexa dose to 10mg for a while as 20mgs might make you more anxious. I'd go with 10mg of the celexa for about 2 weeks for the gabba receptors to calm down(they will adjust to no tamazepam) and then go to 20mg of the celexa when you're feeling better.
When I dropped ativan years ago I was jumpy for a week or two for sure but I calmed down as my pdoc said I would. Alankay
