Could it be that maybe you were just nervous to take the pain killer to begin with and that's causing your anxiety? What pain medication is it?

Yea sleep jerks are very discomforting and the dreams I have are also very detailed. I tend to be half asleep sometimes. It's all very weird to me....

How many mg are you on?? Well Xanax is only meant for emergencies and short term relief....trust me it helps....the only side effect I had was drowsiness you get a little sleepy but that's it....

When I think mental institution I think people being on restraints on a bed and locked up. I suppose you guys are right! Mental institutions are for more extreme cases like people with dementia...
