Wow, I have so many of the symptoms on that list. It makes me feel confident of one thing at least: I have some kind of anxiety disorder.
The thing about eyesight especially rings true. I thought I was going blind or something but it ties in perfectly with the other symptoms. I have had so much trouble with eye strain and foggy or patchy vision lately. Medically I'm fine (I had it checked out) but I've been incredibly stressed and worried about things generally.
Does anyone have the feeling like there head is really heavy.?Thats the best way I can figure it out to explain it
I find the experience of anxiety almost wholly physical and realky debilitating.
For me, it is tingling in my feet and hands and being physically sick.
Reading this was a real eye opener. I was mentally ticking off symptoms i currently suffer from as i read through.
I have pretty much everything on this list! This is oddly comforting, thanks.
Duncan, I recommend that you type "Breaking Free From Technology" on Google and watch Dr. Almeida's TEDx talk on computer side effects. This forum has A LOT to learn from his TEDx talk. Spread the news!
Hi all. I am new here. I started getting chest pain on Saturday night, and Monday morning at 2am I made my husband wake up my 14 month old, and take me to the er. The did a EKG , blood work and X-rays. Said my heart was fine. I am 30 years old in good health. I've had a lot of stress over the past couple of years, and wondering if everything is just now catching up with me. I get random pains on and off on the left side of my chest, and it'll move across my chest and get knots. I also get shortness of breath and tired. Please tell me this is anxiety. It has now been on and off since sat, but it'll last up to a few hours. Can anyone give me advice on how to deal, any one experience what I am? Please help. Ty
Hi welcome to the forum, did you check the list? There is a lot of information how to deal with it.
ie clicky :)
Yes thank you, sound right. I'm trying to get to the chat room, but it won't let me
Thank you for this list!
Before I knew what it was I had terrible feelings of unreality. I constantly felt that I was not present in the moment. Like I was watching my own life happen from afar. I couldn't live my life and I didn't know why. I started to give up trying. I finally talked to my doctor about it and tried to explain what was going on. He opened up a book about anxiety and depression and had me read a certain page. It essentially detailed what I had just told him. I immediately felt better just knowing what was going on. Eventually we adjusted my medication and got it under control. But just that moment of knowing what was happening to me was like ending a year long panic attack.
Hey there, have you heard of Pure 'O'? obsessive thoughts about harming others or carrying out sexual activities.
I wake up at night in panic attacks. I can have hyperactivity then fatigue, racing hart, body shaking, sometimes crying, spaz out in front of others. The worst is waking up in a panic for no reason. My night time medication has helped with this a lot thank god.
Thnx for this list. I check it every morning :)
I've had anxiety since I was 20 (now 27). It has come and gone, but got a lot worse this past year with a bunch of major life changes. My symptoms change, and are never the same. Lately, I wake up and feel good, only to get hyperactively anxious when going to school. I also have a hard time concentrating for long periods of time.
The worst symptom lately, however, is fatigue. I've never been as tired as I have been lately. I'm tired throughout the day, I don't recover from my workouts at the gym. I went from running 4-5 miles without stopping to running 1, and then getting tired. I also get tired at 8pm at night. I typically get around 7 hours of sleep a night, so I'm going to try to get 8 or 9. But I'm wondering if other people have the same symptoms? Do you get fatigued easily? Or should I worry that I have Chronic fatigue syndrome, or MS, or ALS, or cancer, or something else weird?! My anxiety was getting better, until I started having this fatigue :/
Do you have also some info about addictions like gambling?
So many of those in that list can go under depression. I have yet to find an answer if there is any out there regarding how to know which is starting first. Depression than anxiety or anxiety than depression? Myself it feels like anxiety comes first and it triggers the feelings from the list above that one could mistaken for depression.

-stiff muscles, overall weakness
-weird feeling on my chin/ lower lip. (i feel kind of a phantom feeling whenever i touch my chin, like, i touch it once with a pen and feel it right below as well, can't really explain, like touch it once and feel it in a different spot on the chin also).
-sometimes i see different shades of colors from each eye, like if there was a filter on one of them, one eye sees more blueish tones, the other more reddish tones for example. It happens mostly when lying down.
You want a complete list of anxiety symptoms, just look up the word "everything" on WebMD. ;) As anxiety sufferers our brains have the uncanny ability to make us believe we have the most obscure of diseases.
great list. I thought I was going crazy or had a brain tumor or something the first time I experienced a lot of these symptoms. It's sad how the symptoms of Anxiety are often just as Anxiety-inducing as the the source of the Anxiety itself!
First time post, but does anyone else get one sided headaches and lip numbness, also have rapid heart rate and fatigue.
Catch,
Welcome to the forum!
What you describe is very common to anxiety sufferers. We all have and do experience it.
One thing though, I am going to suggest that you re-post this on your own thread. You will get many more replies and won't get lost in an enormous thread like this one.
Cheers, and again, welcome.
Wow it's good to read that list and know what I'm feeling is under the banner of anxiety. I have so many of those symptoms! Been having terrible panic attacks since last night. Especially with the numbness in my hands and arms which scares me into thinking I'm having a heart attack which just makes it worse. It's good to be reminded that there's a name for what you're going through every now and then.
Thanks yeah I'm a little better now, especially after reading that! Hope you're keeping well too.
Cheers. Just got to remember to tell ourselves that the symptoms are completely normal and nothing to be afraid of.
I have so many of these symptoms, it made me feel somewhat better knowing that other people do get these and I'm not totally alone on it, thanks.
These are my symptoms, absolutely hate them. Sometimes I can see them for what they are but other times my mind just runs away with it all.

Hi anxietysucksbutt
Some days all I want to do is sleep. My arms and legs feel weak. Feel like that most of the day.
Be strong, think always positive!!!it's possible to get through this, anything it's possible if you believe...for the moment watch 'the cat concerto' with tom&jerry, you need to laugh,to smile...or watch louis de funnes series,it's a lot of fun...keep in touch:)always smile on yourself, gives you courage...pray if you believe in God,all the time in your mind, always think possitive and keep fun,no matter if you will stay a few days just watching funny stuff,it's important to laugh, believe me,by the way do you have an occupation or hobby, something that you really like to do?do not get used with medications,it's not a solution, you need to train your mind and will, control your emotions, read books about this, inform yourself...and with the time the symtoms in the list should dissapear one by one but you need faith
Does anxiety effect urination in any way :( scared I'm dying of kidney and liver failure
A lil but of both I'm tring to drink more water and there are no other symptoms other than me obsessing my medical is pending and been tring to get through to them I had this problem before and when they did UA everything was clear u dunno :/
A couple things really.
Darker colour urine is common in dehydration, but also it's true to the phrase "you are what you eat" it in this case drink. Energy drinks, coffee and fruit juices can all cause darker coloured urine (harmless and natural). Dark urine with a strong odour and pain/blood present would likely be a UTI.
If you gave no other symptoms (ie discoloured eyeballs/skin/fever/severe back pain) it's unlikely to be anything related to the liver/kidneys (unless it's kidney stones, but you WOULD be in pain).
If you are experiencing a weak flow of urine this can sometimes be related to anxiety in the form of stress related prostatitis (totally harmless ) swelling of the prostate through tension (nothing to do with any related problems) this can cause weak flow, pain in the urethra and a hard/swollen/painful perineum.
I drink 7 up sometimes and my eating habits are not so good, but mostly water and sometimes vitimin water, I think the dizzyness and tightness in certian areas of my body are from anxiety, I did have a kidney stone last may was 5 mm I did pass it ct didn't show damage but it was no contrast, I'll stop there before I start obsessing on them missing somthing, I like your post a lot and tring to use them to help me just been a hard week
I also get this feeling like I have to have a bowl movement but nothing comes out maybe it is my prostate
