Head coach of the New Orleans Saints has tested positive for the coronavirus.
Temperatures are only supposed to get into the upper 30's F here in Maine today.
However, it will be quite sunny out, according to the weather people on TV.
I think that the economic impact of the virus may be as bad as the virus itself. Tremendous loss of jobs will cause stress on many people, especially in the airline, cruise ship, restaurant and retail industries.
I agree with you, Kirk. The economy will suffer. Exactly how bad it will suffer remains to be seen.
Kirk what about my small business that is locked for two months but I still need to pay rent , the cost will be not recovered , not way
It is terrible and I agree with you Dahila 100%.
Here in Maryland, the Comptroller Peter Franchot predicts a loss of 10,000-15,000 small businesses, which is unheard of and awful. This could lead into a severe recession or maybe worse.
That's a lot of businesses!
I was unable to volunteer at the food pantry this morning because we received almost a foot of new snow last night, which wasn't expected.
I did call the church that the pantry is at to let them know I couldn't come.
Day 10 so far so good, 4 more days and I will leave the house, I had never watched so much movies
I'm always grateful that online forums such as AnxietyForum.net exist nowadays. It's fun for me to voice my opinion on forums like this one.
However, I'm currently even more grateful and happy than usual that forums such as this one are around because I can't go out as much thanks to the virus. Forums give me something to do while I'm stuck at home.
I have not been here in some time, but just thought I would stop in to wish you all well as we deal with the (nearly) unprecedented coronavirus situation. It is certainly a challenge for those of us who already deal with anxiety. I am glad to see that this forum seems to have come back to life, after a period of near-dormancy. Best wishes to all of you, Kuma
Hi Kuma , it is nice to see you back, I also think about our members and how anxious they are, I came back from nice walk 18 Celsius sunny, light wind, it was wonderful. How I appreciate wind in my hair and smell of fresh air, We do not need much to be alive and happy. I keep my fingers crossed that all people will not get sick , :)
Otherwise anxiety would kill me on the spot
It's been a rainy day here in southern Maine today. Not much going on with me today.
Hi guys..
Hanging in there I guess. I have no words to describe how I feel. Just very sad I guess.
Dahila, I've also been walking, not very far but it does help. Luckily I rarely run into other people on my walks. Weather is getting nice and I hope I can still go on these walks before they do a lockdown. Hope not.
Sorry guys I'm not helpful.
Take care.
Hi Sal you are helpful, I try to walk to just 2 miles , I stop feeling like doing anything. My market is closed , my business took biting probably is gone. I do not think if this paranoia and panic ends there will be place for producers like me. I think everyone will try to survive, It is good to see you Sal :)
I volunteered at the agricultural farm today for a couple of hours as well as a few hours there yesterday.
A farm like the one I volunteer at is a necessity, as we grow food.
Otherwise, I wouldn't go out during the coronavirus crisis. But the farm needed my help, and I wanted to help out.
It went well.
A few days ago, I went out for a run for the first time since last fall.
And this morning, I went out for another run. I lasted about 1.2 miles of nonstop running, which to my standards is pretty good.
Oh I go for a walk 7 thousands steps every day, yesterday was snowing like hell , I could not see much, snow on my glasses but bravely I made the walk. :)
I won't be going out for a walk or a run today, as my legs and my heart need a break after the running that I did yesterday.
All I've done so far today was go to the grocery store this morning and make comments to online forums this afternoon.
This morning, I volunteered at the food pantry.
We gave out food to the patrons outside, as we didn't want the patrons to come inside the building due to the coronavirus.
We lucked out, as the weather was nice this morning.
But this afternoon, the weather here has been nasty. It's been a steady rain with winds.
I'm glad the weather was better here in southern Maine this morning.
i had fight with my hubby , wth he is thinking, we have -1 celsius , snowing, the furnace stopped working and he does not let me call the guy who fix it
I'm sorry you are having what sounds like a rough day, Dahila.
Mike is all good now, he apologized :)
yeah gypsy he is special, hheeeeeeeeeeeeeee of course the apology was special too
I don't have any junk food in my house right now. So I'll have to comment to online forums such as AnxietyForum.net this afternoon and tonight so I can keep my mind occupied instead of thinking about sweets.
Today I did a whole lot of nothing.
I am glad to hear everyone is doing well.
at 8 am I was in Costco , hell that a regime that costco is, hate it, Then went to bulk barn and also hated waited in the line forever. At least in costco I did not have to wait more than two minutes to get into it
i hate shopping with all my heart , the day started awful because of it, eh I hope my mood will improve after my daily meditation
I love this, Dahila! It's so much like me, except I think to myself "I feel like every cell in my body is not wanting to do this" (go to the shops). You'd think I was being taken to the electric chair or something lol. We don't have Costco or Bulk Barn, but we have Aldi. The products there are good and you can save quite a bit of money, but I never get what I need because I don't understand the layout of the stores and the whole experience is more stressful. Check this out.. You will relate!!

Gypsy shopping is awful , it was always awful but right now is so awful I want to cry, I have not energy for the bullshit that is going on in world the fear mongering the panic........
Anyway I made my impact at educating people about the plandemic and they actually stepped closer to me, t o listen. One lady she was masked but she was coughing so I do understand why. She asked me if I know what is going on in Hong Kong, she is chinese. All videos and info from Hong Kong stopped, People were uploading videos but it is deathly thread for them . eh
The weather is improving and soon I will go outside for a walk or bike, Hopefully the wind will die down
I have zero energy for this planet (the people not the planet itself) atm too. I was about to write when some idiot fired up a chainsaw. I've been putting up with people revving their car engines on the freeway all afternoon. The woman next door plays loud music all night. So I will put my earplugs in and lie down as usual.
This is not depression or anxiety in the sense that I'm pathological or ill-adjusted to life. This is me just trying to survive among a species who are stupid, rude and completely unable to think for themselves. And I won't even start on the way the planet is run (owned) by a small group of people who have more money than the rest of us put together. The only worth we have is economic - what we can produce or consume. I am soooo tired of it and I don't feel the least bit guilty or ashamed anymore for lying in bed and enjoying what little comfort I can get.
Talk soon Dahila :) x
Thanks Gypsy. Here in Baltimore there are a number of places to shop. We have Giant, Trader Joe's, Costco, Aldi's, Weiss, Santoni's, Whole Foods, Wegman's, etc. Giant is a big chain, with no lines at all. Trader Joe's and Wegman's typically have lines. I go to Giant and I am in and out pretty quickly. I have plenty of toilet paper, paper towels and hand sanitizer. I am going to my office everyday as I only have one person who works with me and she usually works from home. My office building is small and now there are usually no more than 6 or 7 people here at one time. My wife goes to work as she is a pharmacist for CVS and is required to be at work.
This morning, the weather here was rainy and lousy. But now in the afternoon, it's nice out here.
There are a number of places open here, to. However, the isles are blocked off so people can not cross in the isles and there are signs on the doors that read: you will not be allowed on the property without a face mask.
Hi Sal it suppose to open few places like garden centers tomorrow , I will see, I can not walk in mask due my lung condition
Here in Maryland there are some protests going on to try to get Governor Hogan to reopen more places, but he wont until things improve for a period of 14 days.
