I haven't walked around downtown Portland, Maine in a couple of years. Maybe I should do so this fall sometime, as it can be therapeutic for me.

It will help Mike. I only walk just about 1 mile exactly to the dollar store and back home every other day and I notice I feel like I really accomplished something. I usually walk 1/2 mile to a bench near my building every other day as well. Its getting pretty and that crisp air is nice. If I stay inside even for 1 day without going out 1 day I get agoraphobic easily.
I have to exercise more regularly now because I need to improve my cholesterol levels. My bad cholesterol is a little too high, and my good cholesterol is a little too low. Exercising may improve my levels.
Better to try naturally with diet and exercise. I'm on medication to lower my cholesterol that will eventually wreck my liver.
I quit on statins years ago and I am on high fat low carbs diet which lowered my cholesterol to an excellent level. Statins caused for me to develop Diabetes type II, not good at all
Unfortunately I'm on a Statin Dahila. You follow any particular diet? I exercise as much as possible.
Dr. Bernstain The diabetes solution it is modified Keto diet, Keto diet is very good to lower your cholersterol; which is high cause of diet with high sugars, and wheat products. To much rice, pasta, potato, itd itd . I am only on meat and veggies no grains not sugar. From time to time a small piece of dark chocolate (92 % of cocoa in it)

it is the sugar in body that make the cholesterol too high, risk of stroke and heart attack ; High blood glucose , Not eating fat foods. Of course ready to eat foods are high in fructose; another name for sugar. There is like 100 names for sugar in foods. I do not touch ready to eat foods. I make my own from scratch
