Stress and Depression!

Stress -- whether or not chronic, like attending to a parent with Alzheimer's, or even acute, such as losing a job or maybe the death of someone you love -- can bring about major depression in vulnerable people. Both types of stress result in overactivity of the body's stress-response apparatus.Stress is a normal physical reaction to situations that make you feel risked or distressed your balance in some way. When you detect danger—whether it’s actual or imagined—the body's defenses kick into high gear in a swift, automatic process referred to as the “fight-or-flight-or-freeze” reaction, or the stress response.
