If you were walking through the woods and came across a Grizzly Bear, would you be nice and relaxed or tense and ready to run? This is your body's response to tense situations. Your muscles prepare for "fight or flight".
When you are anxious, your mind creates fear and stress which sends your body into fight or flight mode. So, even though there is no physical danger, your body is preparing for "fight or flight". Thus, your muscles get tense. _________________ UnNerved - My life with a nervous illness |
