I grew up with a lot of trauma and drama and the result of that stress was many health issues, including panic attacks. Life as a teenager back in the '70s felt just about as bad as it could get. Then I had a bad car wreck and an NDE, or "near death experience." I had to watch my life and it looked like a train wreck. After waking, alive and in the hospital, I knew I had to find ways to get control of my emotions and life so the next time would be different. It was a long hard road because I was very much alone. So I want to support those going through what I did back then when panic attacks were a big part of my life. Today there is a name and options but back then, very little was understood and nothing was offered as a solution. Having one person that hears and understands you when you deal with these things can make all the difference in the world. I now try to be that person for others so that others don’t have to feel alone like I did.
