Dr. Hickman holds a Master’s degree from Vanderbilt University in Psychology and Human Development, a Ph.D. from University of Minnesota in Child Psychology and a Doctorate of Psychology form the Minnesota School of Professional Psychology. She is a licensed Clinical Psychologist in private practice in Tennessee specializing in eating disorders, trauma, anxiety and relationship issues. Dr. Hickman co-owns and co-directs Solace Clinic, and Intensive Outpatient Program for Anorexia, Bulimia and Compulsive Overeating. She also founded Psych Assess, which offers a wide range of psychological assessments for all ages. Current projects include the launching of inPsychlopedia, which is intended to be an encyclopedia of psychological information for professionals and the general public. She hosts her own radio show, The Mind of the Matter, and writes extensively in the field of psychology. Dr. Hickman has been repeatedly invited for interviews as a psychological expert on television, radio as well as for magazine and newspaper interviews and has served as a speaker on numerous topics in diverse settings.
