Has anyone used Holy Basil?

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone has used Holy Basil? It is an herbal supplement that is supposed to help treat anxiety. I bought some about a week and a half ago but I am afraid to take it. I think it is because I am taking Lexapro and I don't know if it will interact. I want to try it just to see if it works. If anyone has used this please let me know and how did it work. Thanks

I haven't but never have found herbals to cause much if any problems with ssri's except for maybe St. Johns Wort. Try it! Alankay.

I have used holy basil and still use it actually! It works fantastic! I strongly recommend it! I was taking Xanax and actually substituted it with holy basil and I felt like it was just as potent in easing my anxiety...holy basil helps regulate your cortisol and glucose levels which soothes your anxiety! Holy Basil? never heard of that... good thing you did'nt take it , i think you have to consult a doctor first.. its too risky..
