I've been hospitalized many times over the years. I'm on Maine state disability, so they don't release me from the hospital until I'm ready.
However, for those with private health insurance (or no health insurance), they often get released too early. One girl I knew was released after being hospitalized for a just few days. And the other residents and I clearly saw that she was a ticking time bomb who was ready to explode as she was leaving. And during another hospitalization, a guy was saying how he wanted to hit somebody. Thirty minutes later, he was released form the hospital.
I thought hospitals are supposed to care more about their patients than money. The key words are 'supposed to,' however.
