Hello everyone,
Just found this forum, thought I would check it out and post a bit. I'm a 29 y/o male who has suffered anxiety since I was about 21. It has come and gone through the years, I have dealt with it. It came back recently, maybe around October of last year and progressively got worse until I asked to put on Paxil. I have been on Paxil about 4 weeks and I have been feeling much better but I know I need to get to the root of my anxieties. I have a fear of the panic attack in general, and it just scares me because I feel out of control. This has kept me away from the gym, as I get uncomfortable when my heart beat elevates. I'm getting married in 3 months, and I would like to be in good shape, so I need to figure out a way to overcome this fear. I think part of the reason I've also been having anxiety lately is because of the pressure from work and the wedding. I've felt better about both recently, and am very excited about the wedding, and work is getting smoother. But it all boils down to not being able to exercise, which stinks because I used to be a runner. I will scan this forum for hints on this but if anyone has any tips please share. Thanks, and positive energy!
