Celexa how long till it works

ive been on 10mg of celexa for about 3 and a half weeks
i do feel somewhat less anxious but still dizzy sometimes and lightheaded and i worry that something bad is gonna happen
how long until celexa takes full effect and does it work

Ameyer, that's 1/2 dose but still you should feel some benefit by one month. My pharmacist say these often take as long as 3 months for full benefits but don't say that as some get discouraged. I have found this to be true. If it doesn't seem to help much/enough ask about going to 20mg(the standard starting dose). But many, myself included have used it at 1/2 dose and it helped. The dizziness will pass as your body adjusts to the med. PM me any time. Alankay.

Yeah they sa aound 4-6 weeks until you feel some benefit, and up to 8 weeks until it starts to kick in and has had time to adjust your Seretonin.

Maybe you're feeling some difference now? 10mg is a really low dose though. It is the recommended starting dose for anxiety as it doesn't over activate the body. Pretty easy drug to take really, one of the best Anti-depressants as far as side effects go.
