Well ......it's just great to know I am not the only crazy person out there , well that's what I feel like

Been struck down with anxiety badly in the last two years but looking back must have started a good 8 years ago due to bad relationship and and losing someone close, then I lost others and now you know I have nothing to be anxious about great partner great kids and family but now is when the anxiety hits.....even the snow threat prompted fear! It's ridiculous and I know it..so you just give yourself a slap and try to carry on!
I vow not to give into it and do what ever I want...but the fight is hard sometimes

Any way!! Great to have a place to go and beat the feelings out, glad I found the forum! For the record if one other person tells me to calm down and relax they may get a slap all you anxiety sufferers know you can't relax, thats the whole problem :) we just have to get it out if the system

It does get easier to all new founders to anxiety, you do know that the scary feelings are just feelings, because when you do finally relax they are gone too, little steps at a time and face up to it the more you run the worse it gets....x

Hi Crazychick, I have just joined the forum as well, so nice to know you are not the only crazychick out there! Hey I have never had the term "give yourself a slap and carry on" - I have one to beat that "put on some lipstick, go down the supermarket, and show them what you are all about" - from my mother - I love that one!! If only it was that easy. No one will ever understand how we feel, but you just have to keep going, and some days are good and some days are crap!!
Good luck Crazychick x

Crazychick, rest assured you're are not alone and others(many) know how you feel. You feel no one else understands? Your "crazy"??? Nonsense, anxious is not crazy. Anxious is extremely distressed. That's all. Worry causes adrenaline to run amuck and the imaginative minds carries on from there. Thus the disorder. However, learning to relax, body and mind, is invaluable. But hard to do. Worth it but it must come from within and with practice.

If definitely is, any one who hasn't experienced it just can't understand it no matter how they try! Even the docs who try desperately to not be patronising just seem to be a little, the tilting head and the nodding hmmmmm :) ah wel least I can look at it and even laugh at myself sometimes :)

A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on.
