Scared to take this...

I got prescribed Hydroxyzine HCL 25mg when i first got diagnosed with anxiety. My anxiety has worsened and i want to try o take something, but im scared of drugs. I heard this is a very very mild drug, and thoughts?

Yes it is VERY mild. It may make you sleepy for a while, but that will were off.

I take 100mg up to 4 times a day. Along with Xanax and Inderal.

I don't know why so many people are afraid of medications.
There are many people out there that will DIE if they don't take medications.

Anxiety is bad for you. It's stressful. I feel it should be treated to eliminate it as much as possible.

My doc recommended SSRI's for me, and I was scared to death to take them. I finally gave in and I'm very happy I did. Changed my life for the better, and I can't believe I waited as long as I did.

As someone told me in another forum when I was thinking about taking the med, nobody ever got a medal for being anxious. I didn't, and you won't.

Slammed, Hydroxyzine is just an antihistamine(for hayfever, etc, they all have some anti-anxiety properties). I wouldn't worry about that one. Might make you a tad sleepy is all.....and a bit less anxious:) Safe as heck too. Just be careful if you drive until you know how it effects you.
