problems with stool. (may be found gross)

medical concern. when i went number 2 just now, it came out dry looking and kinda light colored. also there was blood, but the way the blood look is the same way red dye looks when you put a couple drops in water. the blood wasnt in the stool it was just floating around in the toilet. is this serious?
