Hi Jenny,

Sorry to hear that your anxiety is getting worse, I hope that you will find some answers on these forums to help you.

When you went off the medication, just curious if you consulted with your doctor first? I have heard that some people find the anxiety reappears after cutting off the medication cold turkey. I have also heard that the best way to get off the meds is to gradually decline, following the doctors advice. But hey! I'm not a doctor, but its always good to discuss your medications with a doctor before you stop/start any medication.

The advice that I can give you is that learn all about anxiety from reputable persons/websites/books. I have also found learning about how my body reacts in a panic attack really useful in understanding what is happening to my body during an attack. It takes alot of the stress away during an anxiety attack so much so that sometimes I can just "surf" the wave of anxiety.

I have also found that learning about how my negative thought patterns contribute to my anxiety interesting. Once I have identified a negative thought, I don't dwell on it because I tell myself hat it is just a negative thought and not a fact.

I hear meditation like yoga and pilates is also helpful.

Is it possible that there are stressful events in your life that are causing the anxiety to appear? Sometimes a stressful event in a day can bring on anxiety long after the moment has passed.

Be sure to look after yourself, I'm sure you are stepping in the right direction to recovery :)

Be well.
