I woke up late today. Terrible. the day had disappeared with me sleeping through it.
It really wasn't worth going out so late in the day, but I hurriedly washed and dressed and went out.
Why? There was plenty to watch on the TV and I doubt I'd be missed if I didn't see my aquaintances.
There was a very good reason to go out. It's never something I do easily; without anxiety, like stomach cramps, poor breathing etc.
Therefore I had to go. I've found continued exposure to my fear tends to make the dread dissipate over time.
So out I went and now I'm home. That was a successful outing.
Take it from a sufferer of anxiety all my life, you have to accept the illness and learn to live with it. I can take a higher dose of meds and I'm sure that I wouldn't have the anxiety symptoms, but I take it at night only in order to live what seems like a normal life with a good night's sleep.
It works for me.
