I was on 10mg of celexa for over 2 months, with very little improvement. My dr. just increased to 20 mgs. Has anyone had experience with this increase? Will it help? I had no side effects with 10mg, but will I with 20mgs? I'm scared of meds and would appreciate any answers. Thanks.

Remember that everybody responds to medications (and especially antidepressants) in a unique way. Just because one person responds a certain way to a dosage increase (whether positive, negative, or neutral), this does NOT mean that you will necessarily repond in the exact same way.

Well 10 is a pretty low dose; the recommended starting dose is 20mg. And since you didn`t have any (side) effects from the 10mg it`s a logical thing to increase the dose to 20mg. But nobody can tell if you get any (side)effects at a certain dose because, like robbed said, everybody responds different to AD. That why its so hard to find the right med and dose sometimes.
