Person with epilepsy here?
I also have non-epileptic attacks caused by anxiety, which is the reason I'm here. I'm taking Xanax and Tegretol and recently went off Neurontin, Lyrica, Wellbutrin, Celexa and Cymbalta (yeah, I've tried lots of things).
The neurontin and lyrica didn't really do too much, but they DID help with headaches.
The wellbutrin... I had taken it for many years and had grown accustomed to it.
The Celexa made my seizures and anxiety attacks worse, so I went off that right away.
The cymbalta put me in excruciating agony. Took it twice until I figured out that was the one that was making me hurt so much.
The xanax works pretty well.
The tegretol may or may not work. I've only been taking it a few days and I accidentally triggered a seizure today (I overheated and was breathing a little too deeply during yoga).
I've always been a nervous person--a worrier, an overachiever, a pleaser. I've had a few panic attacks in my life (they're different from non-epileptic seizures, just a bit. No convulsions) and they are NOT pleasant. I was recently diagnosed with anxiety disorder. I hope I can learn a lot from the people here!
