Hey everyone,

My name is Tony and I'm 24yrs old and I've experienced so many symptoms for a good couple of years but recently I've been experiencing something that is extremely scary and I don't know what to do.

For the past couple of days I feel like I can't breathe properly, like I can't take a deep enough breath and I'm always yawning to try to catch my breath. I've also felt like so much energy like I'm high on a suger rush especially through out my arms, hands and chest. When I go to lay down and try to sleep I can't because of the anxious energy I have which causes me not to sleep. I also have body jolts when I'm sleeping. Is this all anxiety or something else?

It's very possible this is all from anxiety. Stress or really high anxiety situations cause things like this, especially the lack of sleep. I don't know if you've ever had to give a speech or anything but the restlessness you feel before is similar to what you are describing, and what makes you do that before a speech? Anxiety. I would just try to reduce your stress and relax as much as possible. Try to figure out what is making you so anxious. Best of luck to you.

P.S. You may want to try Chamomile (http://amzn.to/gi6tq7) for a mild natural sleep aid. It's fairly cheap and even if it doesn't work can't hurt anything.

hi tony
I am new here too and although I dont like to hear of other people suffering it is good to know that you are not alone. I have nights like you describe but am not usually too bad during the day. Everything seems worse at night doesnt it. do you do any exercise? because I find that if I can tire myself out physically during the day then I sleep better. I know that it sounds obvious but sometimes I would spend the day just feeling low because I had not slept well and that did nothing to tire me out and help me sleep that night...! it was a vicious circle. If you do very little exercise then just a good walk may help.
good luck and keep positive.... being in touch here is, i am sure, a great help.
