I am 22 years old and have been taking 225 mg of effexor for roughly 5 years now. I am aware of all of the symptoms I will experience while weaning myself off of Effexor, and I know how to wean myself off of it as well. I have discussed this with my doctor. My question is what will happen after the "detox" is over.
I began taking Effexor after many years of anxiety/anger and one final anxiety attack that sent me home from college. To be honest, I believe the Effexor has changed my life and has really helped me, however, I am recently married and have NO sex drive at all. I blame Effexor for this and want to try coming off of it. I wonder if I have matured now enough to be able to cope with the anger and emotions that I experienced in the past? Or will I return back to the angry crazy person I was before? I DONT want this because I don't want to ruin my marraige or scare my husband! I just want to be able to live without being dependent on these drugs! Any personal experiences would be helpful! Thank you!
