what is the next step after propranolol

im seeking medical assistance for my anxiety, ive been on 100mg capsules of propranolol (half inderal beta blockrs) on and off for the past 12 months and have not really reduced the acuteness of my panic attacks. I have a week holiday to las vegas booked for next week and will be damned if anxiety is going to spoil a once in a lifetime trip!

I would go to the internet, and forums like this one, for support and practical advice but I would be reluctant to take medical advice. I might be wrong, but I am not sure anyone here is qualified to give it.

See your doctor, and ask about all the options.

Try to relax and think about what a great holiday you are going to have, whether you have panic attacks or not. Trying to get rid of the anxiety in a week is probably just placing unrealistic demands on yourself.

If the meds are not working for you, please reconsider and have your doctor take you off of them and place you on something else. You don't want to take meds unless they are actually HELPING and are necessary.

100 mg of Inderal? That's a really high dose.
