Back when my anxiety disorder started, I actually tried taking 5HTP for a couple of weeks. But I stopped taking it because it seemed to make me feel somewhat lightheaded and 'out of it'. I also contemplated St John's Wort. But a friend of mine who tried it told me that it seemed to be ALOT like SSRIs in terms of side effects. So I passed. Also, by that time, it semed like my anxiety disorder was slowly starting to subside. So I decided against using any types of herbs to deal with it.

Thanks for the imput. I only know 1 person who used st johns and swares by it, but I am like you an skeptical. I tried valerine and it didnt do a thing
