Hey! Let me introduce myself. My name is Izzy, I'm 19 years old, I have an amazing family and boyfriend, and I am currently homebound because of my severe anxiety. I have been diagnosed with Social Anxiety, OCD, PTSD, Agoraphobia, and just old fashioned Anxiety. As you can tell I am an extremely anxious person. I have recently started therapy and I am extremely optimistic that I will soon be able to function as a normal human being. I think talking with others that can relate to my problems will also help this process. I am extremely thankful for this forum at this point. I am also nervous to submit this post. I am hoping that even on an anxiety forum I won't be considered crazy. Hopefully with therapy and and finding others who can relate, I will be able to slowly start actually leaving my house, making friends, go to college, and getting a job. So thank you very much for reading this. I can't wait to start reading other posts and commenting!

Welcome. I am also in therapy, have been for a year, and let me tell you, it does work! I was confined to my house also (aside from having to work, but I had no choice) and now I am going on an airplane trip next month. Keep going, it works!!! :D

It can take a long time for some of us. I have had mental health problems for 10y and anxiety for about 7y. I can work but it takes everything out of me. There are many dark days right now but I'm glad to be here and glad you are too.
