Hi all, new member here. Since 2006, I've been dealing with obsessive thoughts. I'm not sure if I have OCD because my thoughts are driven by anxiety, and I'm currently seeing a therapist to sort my issues out. My first obsessive thought was being conscious of blinking. I've struggled with that on and off for 4 years. Then I started thinking about when my mouth should be open or closed. My latest issue is thinking about what to do with my lips after swallowing a liquid beverage. It's crazy stuff. I get stuck on involuntary reflexes. You guys have any quick fix solutions to this besides seeing a therapist and figuring out what is triggering all of it? By the way, the lips are supposed to open after swallowing a liquid, right? Heh... Thanks!

Hello JetsFan I am a BroncoFan LOL!!! Well, it's those darn thoughts that are at every last nerve of us anxious people!!! *pulls out hair* I obsessively think of my internal organs and how they are functioning...all day long. I'm checking my pulse tons of times per day, ect. My therapist told me that I obsess over these thoughts to protect myself...and that they feed the anxiety and I am learning how to be "mindful" which is when I am aware of what's happening here and now and not focus on my body all day. :|
