Im so happy Ive found this site. Like gazillionz of others worldwide I have suffered varying degrees of anxiety, panic and depression at different stages of my life. It is comforting to know that this is such a shared and common condition and my quick read through of the forum suggests everyone brings unique and heartfelt responses to this conditon. I have made a decsion to rid this cursed afflication from my life once and for all. Ive decided to not go down the path of anti depressant or anti anxiety medication again and focus on increased execise (Lap swimming and surfing is my thing..a perfect meditation) sitting meditation twice a day, way less alcohol, (a horrible trap for us stressed individuals) and a more positive outlook in general. With all your hepl and fantastic advice Im determined to be as calm as a cave dwelling monk!

Welcome! It's really great to read your post. I like your positive outlook. You definitely can live a happy lifestyle even if you think it's no longer possible with all of the anxious thoughts, panic, and depression. I'm struggling to get there, but I know it is possible, and I know I can do it. Just like you can (and sounds like you are!)
