I have a huge fear of having an inner ear disorder. ever since last april when my doc told me i had labryinthsis...b/c i had a little bit of fluid in my ear and i felt a little off balance....but i never had huge dizziness or anything so i went to an ENT and he told me i never could have had that diease and my ears were clear. sooo i never had that diease but from then on i have had a huge fear of getting an inner ear disoder...and i think this is causing my off balance and sometimes dizzy feelings. and now the past few nights when i try to sleep it starts to spin and then i open my eyes and everything is fine...soo idk if its anixety or could it be an inner ear thing???

anyone else fear this or have these symptoms or think its anxiety or and inner ear problem??

please someone help me

im freaking out

its been over a year or worrying

im going to an ENT who specializes in dizziness on july 1 soo we will see

please help anyone!!!

I don't know to what extent you have experienced anxiety but let me tell you a little about my story, and try reading some other peoples stories on here because I guarantee you will find something that makes you feel better about the situation.

My anxiety all started at about 3 am a couple of months ago, I woke up feeling strange my arm hurt and my chest felt funny, I sat up and tried to shake it off and suddenly my heart started racing. I went to the hospital and they said it was just a panic attack. for the next month after that every night I tried to go to bed the same thing would happen. I literally had a panic attack every night for a month. I have never slept so horribly in my life, this followed with depression, several trips to the doctor with all tests coming back fine, and still to this day I am struggling to sleep.

I have gotten much better and haven't had a panic attack in a couple of weeks but still have all kinds of unnerving symptoms. You need to just work through it tell yourself your fine, and an important thing to remember is if you are actually sick you will feel this way all the time, not just when you try to go to sleep. This is what I have been telling myself over and over.

if you still feel worried get a second opinion from another doctor if it will help put your mind at ease

Hi Olivia,
I've had anxiety on and off since I was about 15. This year I had the dizzy, being pulled to one side feeling and especially when I was walking it felt like I was on a boat. So I went to the doc and I was diagnosed with labyrinthitis. It's a pretty scary feeling, especially if you are anxious because the symptoms are bizzare.

There are a group of excercises you can do to help it settle - the ENT specialist should be able to help.
