Dear All,
As my subject title says 'thanks for the welcome' to this forum. I've already found it to be of benefit and equally of great interest. Strangely, I've found it easier to reply to some posts with advice than is often the case when trying to talk myself out of bouts of anxiety.
However, here's a little lighter note from a drive to work this morning......drove along my usual road and came round a blind corner to find a fallen branch on my side of the road. With Schumacher-like reflexes I steered around this hazard and continued to work unharmed. As I drove I felt some of the usual anxiety symptoms as a result of the adrenalin boost I'd just recieved. However, I thought to myself what if my anxiety was prompted by a particularly efficient flight-or-fight response? then this surely contributed to my super-reflexes and avoidance of the aforementioned branch on the road. Now that's what I call positive thinking! Long may it continue.
Regards,
Graham
