Ever since I've been on Lexapro for a week and a half, I think I'm progressively getting better. My panic symptoms aren't nearly as pronounced as they were (though a lot of this has to do with my insistence to stop being scared of them), and my anxiety is down, but still moderate.
The weird thing is that the anxiety came in waves before; I'd get better, then an hour or two later, another one would hit me. I still feel that this "wave" pattern is continuing, but instead of feeling intense anxiety, I get to feeling EXTREMELY melancholy (to the point where I don't want to talk to anyone, lose interest in what I'm doing, and get very restless) and sleepy.
Is the Lexapro just taking the edge off of the anxiety, but my mind is still stuck in the same rut? I'm wondering if anyone else has had this happen while on SSRI medications?
