hey everyone
i'm new to all this kinda stuff so dont really know where to start but i thought i'd give it a go anyway. I'm 27 and have only been seeking medical advice since novemer 09 and since then the dr's had me on 4 maybe 5 kinds of drugs and only one has worked but they took it off me after a month. The one that worked was diazepam but apparently that's addictive but i was like sure its addictive as it made me feel , well normal i guess lol. I'm now on Mirtazapine(30mg) and i really don't like them , i've told my GP this and she suggested the i go bak onto trazodone on the highest dose (300mg) but this worried me as she also added it slows your heart rate so i was like fuck that , just by saying that she made me worry at the thought of it.
The Mirtazapine is makin me eat to the point where i'm so full i feel like i'm going to burst and yet i'll still feel hungry and i told her this , she said buy sweets to suck or chew but thats not worked as i end up just eating them too and i had to stress since i'm on sick money and cant afford to eat the way i've been eating lately
My GP says the only person that can give me diazepam is my psychiatrist but shes never in , always away on courses and in meetings when i phone and as she is only in her office a few days a week its really hard to get hold off and its really pissin me off.
I was just wondering how i would go about this situation as i feel they've teased me by giving me a cure for a month and then taking it away. none of the other drugs she has gave me has had any effect on me as i hav trouble sleeping at night (insomnia) so thats why she gave me Mirtazapine which does get me to sleep at night but my bad dreams are coming back which wakes me up in the night. And then i'm a hungry hippo all day. i'm average hight and weight for my age and dont need to put on weight and as i said cant afford to keep eating this way.
Any suggestions or comments would be greatly appreciated ..... thanks, and i'm from Scotland (uk)
