Hi i decided to join this as a means to help me cope with anxiety. It's something very different that i have never done before but i definitely hope it will help me. I've been dealing with anxiety since 15 on and off. It comes and goes which is something i do not quite comprehend. My main problem has been the fear of not being able to eat which triggers other worries and makes my anxiety act up even more. It becomes the never ending thought process which can drive someone crazy. If there is someone that could relate to me or knows someone who has experienced the same thing please help! I want to completely rid myself of this negative thought process. Thank you.

Hi there Marina C,

Welcome aboard,

I am new on tbhis forum as well.

I think that you have already taken a massive step forward, by taking action. It is a great way to get moving, and move on.

I have found that a lot of the anxiety we feel is the result of the way we think about situations.

I am not suggesting it is a quick fix at all, but no matter what the situation, try to see if there is a twist to turn it around.

An example might be tht you are worried about becoming unemployed. Now, I don't have to say that could start an anxiety attack.

However, this would be an opportunity to list your qualities, youe knowlede, and skills, and pat yourself on the back, and know that you have much to offer, in another position.

I think you get the point.,

It takes practice, certainly, but is at least a starting point, to mentally and deliberately change our oppinions, and see thengs more positively.
I have always felt the most brave people are the ones who actually overcome their fears, and move forward.

To your success,

MartinC
