Hello

I was recently put on lorazepam, but only 1mg 3 times a week, however this is no where near enough in dosage and amount available. Is there a way to ask for an increase without sounding like I'm pill seeking?

If you're seeing a doc who can't tell the difference between pill seeking and truly needing an increased dosage, I'd recommend finding a better doc. Preferably, the best psychiatrist you can afford. Most general prac. are too concerned with liability issues.

Thanks. Yeah, I came to the same/similar conclusion. I'm pretty good at reading people, he's running his own practice, prob needs money. He kept trying to set up more and more appointments even though there was nothing to discuss but the medication and he was taking co pays from me then my insurance told me I don't have a co pay (called a couple times to make sure the rep wasn't just a retard). I've taken valium (10mg) tablets that my friend had a while back and they were perfect. That's why I went to get those or something similar, it did the job, perfect. I'll prob look into a way to just get them at a doctors office b/c I don't need the therapy, just medication. I'll prob just go to the hospital and tell them about the muscle twitches, hopefully they'll give me a prescription that helps anxiety too, since most muscle relaxers do.
