Hello all...

It's been a long time since I've been here, but I'll give you an update on my situation. My doc and I both came to the conclusion I had some ADD issues and he started me on 15mg Adderall 2x daily besides my 150mg Wellbutrin SR 2x daily, 10mg Valium 3x daily, and 10mg Ambien at bedtime. We increased that to 30mg Adderall 2x daily as it continued to improve it's effectiveness with higher doses

The anxiety seems to be well under control with the Valium. I'm happy to say there doesn't seem to be much tolerance. Occasionally I wish that I was still on Xanax when I have REALLY stressful spots, but I'm on enough meds already without asking for a 5th for occasional use. The Wellbutrin is doing it's thing pretty well, and I think the Adderall has actually helped quite a bit with the depression as well, which is an unexpected bonus.

My real issue is the HUGE come-down I have from the Adderall. If I take it at 9am and 2pm, I'm ready to knock out by 7pm, and that's before I even take my evening Valium. If I take my last Adderall at 2pm, Valium at 8pm, and Ambien at 11pm (bedtime) I have actually slept until 5pm the next day (17 hours!).

It's funny, because before the Adderall, the balance of meds was just fine to keep me awake during the day, but able to sleep at night. I notice zero physical stimulant effect from the Adderall, but it does help my focus 100% mentally. I don't want to stop taking it, but it seems like my body has become reliant on it for energy.

I know it's a very odd combo of meds, but does anyone have any advice? The only thing I know my p-doc would suggest is lowering my Valium or Ambien levels, which I DO NOT want, since it took me years of dealing with severe anxiety and insomnia before I finally was given high enough doses to correct the problems.
