Zoloft side effects when increasing dosage?

This is my 2nd week on Zoloft. I started at 25 mg, and then a few days ago, went to 50 mg, per my dr. I had pretty much gotten past the side effects. Now the stomach upset is back with a vengeance. I have gurgly stomach, gas, belching, and what i think is heartburn, not sure i've really ever had heartburn much before! I am prone to stomach upset, though. I've been real careful to always take it with food. This kept me awake last night. I'm thinking it will probably eventually go away. Am i right?

Sometimes the side effects do go away, but you certainly should discuss this resurgence with your doc/psychiatrist. Sometimes you need to increase the dose over a longer span of time. Also, sometimes they'll prescribe you something to combat the temporary side effects.

I'm doing much better now. Still don't feel quite right, but most side effects have gone away, or are very mild. I'm supposed to check in with my dr. within the next couple of weeks.
