I have been taking Lexapro for about 3 years and sometimes once or twice a year I still get bad anxiety for a week maybe a month which is just hell for even a minute but the last time I seen my doctor she said I am already on the strongest dose of Lexapro and now that it seems to be starting again what can I do ? Change the med or is there a booster for what I am on ?

Although it is not uncommon for doctors to prescribe combinations of meds, there is no 'booster' as such for Lexapro (or any other SSRI). In any case, it would appear that you are building a tolerance to Lexapro. This sort of thing is fairly common, and typically happens after a few years. When it does, you basically have two choices: try another med OR deal with your anxiety disorder in a non-pharmaceutical manner (like CBT).

This answer isn't what I had hoped for but thank you for the honesty. I may start going to counseling and theropy again along with a change in medicine depending what my doctor says .[/b]
