Does anyone's anxiety mess with your hearing? if so share your stories.
Mine is that I've had a constant ear ringing in my ears ever since I had it. I've been checked out and I have no ear problems what so ever. So my doctor simply told me that it was related to my anxiety.
It has gone away but it never stays gone.
So anyone else?
Hi there!
Constant ringing in my ears drives me MAD!!!
It's really strange - i started to experience it occasionally at the beginning of my illness but recently, it can be quite constant and VERY annoying. It does go away, usually when I am at my most relaxed but it returns.
When it rings really bad, i find myself saying 'pardon' alot!!!!
I've also had my hearing, etc, checked and been told it's anxiety related.
Anxiety does funny things to your body - something to do with your parasympthetic nerves which are connected to your ears, eyes and neck and that's why people often feel light headed and giddy when anxious!
Hope this reassures you.

I have major anxiety and if I sit a certain way it sounds like my hearing fades in and out and I get real dizzy. My doctor says it is anxiety! I don't know, I haven't had any tests done maybe I should but my anxiety fears the Dr.'s!
