Hey craig
I have been going through something simlar myself, I was scared of screens, wether they are on the PC or in a mirror.
I was scared about what i was going to see in them, so much i turned all the mirrors around in the house, locked my partners pc room, and turned all the tv's to face the wall.
I use to hide under a table when I felt a panic attack because it us to be just blind fear.
I have slow managed to turn the tv around and started getting mirrors in my house.
I have just started new meds, because the other ones just used to knock me out because i never use to sleep i stayed up for 5 days stright.
I am on the process of getting better.
I always find that deep breathing, I really found exercise helped me, if you avoid the problem long enough it will go to extremes and then become a phobia.
So next time you hear a song which triggers something in your past its best to just take a deep breath and breath from the stomach not the chest because heavy chest breathing will make your heart beat faster which brings on a anxiety attack.
Sorry about the spelling I am touch typing, I work with pc so i suck it up for work by deep breathing and meds :) xx
I hope this helps a little bit
