I have recently been diagnosed with anxiety disorder and stress about 2 months ago. I have chest pains all day long and i have had all kinds of test done on my heart and have been told that everything is normal. I was wondering if anyone out there suffers from the same symptoms that i do. it is really scary to feel the chest pains all day long. I do not believe in medications and do not take any. please help

This is how it all started for me. My advice to you is try taking a Rennie or any other heart burnt tablet, i know you dont like medicines but this was the only way it stopped for me. I only took a few over a couple of days and it has not been back since.

Well i used to weight train myself and damaged some pectural muscle which felt the same as having heartburn related to stress. I'm sure you may have experianced this in the past.

I dont know if weight loss will make any differance but the rennie's fixed my problem. The Doctors i went to see could not work out why i had chest pains and i kicked my self when i found a few heartburn tablets cleared it up.

Anxiety is very under estimated indeed your family will need to understand that this can be very serious and effects your life very strongly.

Did you try any heartburn tablets?

Im starting my next stage now with Vitamin b complex to help my body with recovering.

i have the same. The only thing that helps me is exercise. I go jogging on a night and after about 20 minutes my worries and chest pains go away. That makes the evenings better. I too have been suffering for 2 months and was diagnosed with acute stress. I feel ashamed of myself as i had 2 weeks off work and have been a nightmare calling friends and family constantly. During the day i try to go outside for a walk every so often. Or call someone. It's so difficult but just try and take your mind of it by reading, walking, exercise, music, anything!

Hi Mark,

I tried going for walks in an attempt to make it go away with no joy, i felt so bad that i could not jog or run. My mind was focused on heat attack or a heart problem, it began to beat out of sync on all sorts of crazy things.

My advice to anyone who has a stressfull job and has these early warning symtoms is to get out now, its just not worth it. I got made redundant also to add to things but im very glad i did now.

Thanks coops025 your advise helped on the chest pains they did subside with the heartburn pills i take prilosec once a day and it really helps i also started excersing again and that has also helped I know its going to be a long struggle from now and have accepted having anxiety and stress. I get dizzy spells frequently and that starts the process of anxiety. I take a xanex maybe once a week 25 mg when it really get bad. I also have started going to church and praising god for all the good things in my life like my children and wife. Again i really appreciated the advise and support i received from you guys. I will continue to give an update every once in a while.

chest pains can come from the acid in your stomach flowing up and sitting within your chest, often this is mistaken for something else which makes people even more anxious (thinking it's heart related)

hallo, I have had horrible chest pains as well and nobody knew why, till I went to see a herbalist and she diagnosed acid-reflux,which ,as Im also anorexic gets really bad as I eat very less...she recommended i drink half a glass of cold water with 2-3 pinches of soda bicarb(plain baking soda), it really helps me,and I dont have the feeling Im stuffing myself up with too many meds...maybe it helps you too...all the best!
