Hi,
I just found this forum today and thought it might help to people who at least have some measure of what it's like to experience anxiety on a day to day basis.
I have been experiencing periods of anxiety since my late teens - I'm now 24. It comes and goes in waves with a few good months and then a few bad ones.
Currently I'm taking Citalopram and have also been referred to a counsellor for the 2nd time. The first time I went a few years ago they declared me as being fine after the second session because i tend to put up a front and not let people know what I'm really thinking.
I get anxious mostly about being alone, that my boyfriend will leave me and that's only exaggerated because I know dealing with me as I am now isn't easy and I push him away from me.
Anyway, I'll be glad to talk to some people who know that it's not just easy to stop fixating on something and can actually relate to how I feel.
