I am a 18 year old college freshman who has had anxiety most of her life. I have been able to manage my anxiety on my own since recieveing counseling and CBT several years ago. Well recently anxiety has crept back into my life. I went to a campus conselor last semester for stress and problems with concentrating when studying. I was told that I might have adult ADD and that I should get tested.
Well I made an appointment for testing and had to wait two months to get in. Over the course of two months my anxiety started to increase as I worried about whether I had ADD or not. By the time I finally got tested my level of anxiety had increased dramatically.
Well I did find out that I do have ADD and that my level of anxiety is high again. I was just prescribed Citalopram for the anxiety. I just want to know does anybody have experience taking Citalopram and if so what was/is it like? Also, does anybody have any tips on dealing with ADD and/or returning anxiety? Thanks.
