How's everyone doing? I'm stuck in the house today because of a snow storm, so I surfed the net and stumbled upon this forum. I figured I'd give it a try and see what this site has to offer.
I've had anxiety all of my life. I am currently 19 years old, and last week I finally decided to visit a psychiatrist. I used to treat social anxiety with alcohol to the point where I developed an addiction. I am now taking Klonopin (Half a tablet twice a day, and one tablet at night) and Lexapro (2.5 mg twice per day).
The pills have really been working miracles. I used to get nervous everywhere I went, but now suddenly I can walk around college and look people in the eyes without getting nervous. I still have trouble expressing my personality to others, but at least I can talk to them without stumbling over words! Anyway, hello.
