Lots of individuals with mental health issues decide to participate in group therapy. Clients in group therapy get helpful advice from therapists. And group members can also help each other by sharing their issues with each other.

However, anyone who participates in group therapy must respect confidentiality. They are not allowed to tell anyone who is not in the group about who is in the group or what issues other group members are dealing with and have shared with the group.

Those who don't abide by these rules will be asked by the counselors to leave the group.

And besides, it's wrong to divulge personal information about other group members to those who shouldn't be told that information anyway.

Taking part in group therapy can really help you and many of the other members in those groups. But all members of those groups must respect confidentiality.
