Anxiety and Depression

Hi all. Just wanted to introduce myself, found this forum today and reading thru some posts has already been very helpful. I'm 25, married, work full time and have 2 fur babies (dog and cat). My "official" diagnosis is major depressive disorder, I have bouts of depression but my concern and what I'm here for is more my general anxiety and pretty terrible social anxiety.

And I do have a technical question: I tried to make a post already in the general discussion category and it's not showing up... Is it pending review or just gone to cyber space? Thanks!

My official diagnosis is “Major (Unipolar) Depression” as well but I would say my most debilitating affliction is social anxiety/phobia. Back in 1993 there was less emphasis on types of anxiety and the distinction between depression and anxiety. The psychiatrist (who I still see) basically said Depression is a Mood Disorder.

Your post has almost certainly gone to cyber space haha. No wonder the forum is so quiet. Glad that reading through posts has helped :)
