Hi all,
My name is Paula. I'm happily married, no kids yet and am 25. I have had situational panic attacks since the 6th grade. However, the last few months have had a massive spike in my symptoms and I now deal with social anxiety on a daily basis and am at a loss. I found this site via a google search. Just wanted to introduce myself. Looking forward to getting to know yall :)

Hello Paula. There are many who have social anxiety so you will find companionship here. Any clues as to what triggered the spike in anxiety lately?

Hi paula, you may need to practice some techniques to control your breathing, relaxation and finally exposition to situations. This is basically how the therapist proceed but may start practicing by yourself.

I posted a thread in the social anxiety forum but haven't had it approved yet with more of what I experience and why I think it happens. I'm very anxious for it to show up in there so I can see what everyone thinks and give me some advice. Stephane, do you have any tips on ways to breath and relax through this episodes? Thanks and happy new year.

Happy new year Paula and everybody. Paula, you may need to check in youtube for videos explaining how to practice. You may search for: Abdominal breathing, Progressive muscular relaxation.
