I have literally tried so many meds and they didn't work or they had horrible side effects. I have heard of Prozac and I am wondering has anyone had any good experiences with it?

Hi there,
I’m on Prozac and it was the first anti-depressant that worked for me. That said, if one SSRI works or doesn’t work, it’s likely the others will or won’t because they are so similar. The drug companies just tweak a molecule here and there basically.
I still get horrible anxiety because I’m probably completely immune to the Prozac after so many years of being on anti-depressants. It might be worth a try for you though.
All the best,

It worked for me but I had a side effect of weight gain. But I struggle with that anyway.

Genetic testing for medication looks interesting. It's not a perfect science yet, but a few people have been on this forum saying the process helped them.
As for Prozac, it gave me tonnes of energy and motivation, but made my anxiety much worse. I stopped after 6 weeks.

You can take the girl out of marketing, but you can't take the marketing degree out of the girl. ;)

Prozac made me dead on my feet. Lethargic. Tired. Wellbutrin suck. Zoloft sucked.
Only pill the ever worked for me was Lexapro.
Actually started back up on it after 5 years off.
