I started this thread because of a trigger - a post I read here about an abusive relationship.
Ladies and gents please, you shouldn't be in an abusive relationship. leave immediately.
When someone hurts you (https://www.betterhelp.com/advice/how-to/how-to-respond-when-someone-hurts-you/) emotionally or physically, they don't deserve to be in your life. Remember that.

I agree full heartedly you are not alive to be abused wether its a partner or a parent it's not acceptable i have disowned my parents for that very reason i had mental and violence from both this is why i find life so challenging but i was very lucky to have found someone who loves me flaws and all
