My old neighbor called this morning and said she wanted to come for a visit. Okay, not a problem. I would love to see her. Then my other neighbor called and said Melody was coming to see her too. She told me to come over so we all could visit together. Now, mind you, both these people know about my anxiety and are trying to help. Not a good move. I threw up 4 or 5 times before I had to go over there, and was in tears. But I finally got myself together and went over. Once I was there I was okay, but they were both "trying" to help me by talking about how they were going to get me to do this and that, with them. Because they were friends, they think it would be okay!
I think I am gonna die!

You're not gonna die, babe.
Just remember, before you do something take it in small steps..think about getting dressed, then going to your kar, then driving, then going inside. Its not good to look too far in the future.
And ALWAYS have in the back of your mind, that these people are trying to help you. And they aint even just people. They are your FRIENDS. Ground yourself. Think "I'm safe" bekause what it sounds like, i think you would be safe with these friends of yours. And thats bad ass that they are trying to help you out. Thats a very good thing that is hard to find these days.
But yeah, YOU WILL BE FINE. Remember that phrase. believe it. live by it.
do well.

yes i agree, and u seem to be so similar to me in the sense that its the build up rather than the event itself thats worst. Angels advice is good and its alot like whay my Therapist has advised me to do. You also gotta remember the times you have done harder things and you have been fine. The way i see it is its worth going thru a rough half hour, if it means i can have a few hours of fun or friendship!
With me I always feel like the current situation is the worst yet, even tho i know that isnt the case at all! Stay positive and good luck

Well thanks guys for the encouragement. I agreed to go with them next weekend to a local college to do some pottery. We'll see if I can make it....but I'll take your advice and try not to dwell on it in advance.

hey not bad! I think it always helps to have a project to work on to distract you from your anxieties!
