I had a d-timer test done last night as I was having severe chest pain. The doctor told me it came back negative for PE but does that also means its negative for a DVT. I'm pretty sure the test just checks for thrombosis which would be the combination of both PE and DVT. I'm just curious if anyone on here knows?
